While we wait for the photos of the new kitty to load, I shall tell you what happened on the day after the 'what I did today' day.
What happened is that I worked for 2 hours, then Michael and I went to Toowoomba to buy winter coats (I should clarify - I mean QLD winter coats).
I love going to Toowoomba, because 1. It is less of a hole than Ipswich, 2. It has some decent shops, 3. It has cafes where things are edible and there is such thing as sitting at a table with no ants at it, 4. It takes so long to get there that I always fall asleep and it is like waking up in a different land, 5. It is up a really really big hill and I like big hills.
I thought we would go to my favourite cafe, which was, until now, our favourite cafe. But it turns out that Michael is not all that attached to it, being a quite complacent kind of person when it comes to habit and can take it or leave it. He took me to a place that reminded me of a cafe at a nursing home,
where the service was obviously by said nursing home type staff. I left soon after making my point.
We ended up this place called Picnic Pint, which is the big lookout park at Toowoomba, it looks over the whole Lockyer Valley and has a cafe perched on the hill with windows that make even me feel nauseous vertigo (and like I said, I like hills). As far as cafes go, it was so so, but I suppose it is a view that you'd want to see at least once. I got to watch the trucks go up and down the hill.
Later, after, my usual sleep on the way home, I dragged Michael to the place I went to on the day of 'what I did today' at the back of the paddock. He was really brave and walked up the hill.
Here is the story of the new kitty. The new kitty turned up last night. At first I thought is was another of the phantom noises that I have been hearing for the last few days i
n my flu delusion. But then I heard a thumping noise and was certain that it had to be heavier than a green frog. I got all courageous and turned on the outside lights and looked out the door. I saw..a kitty, a white kitty, looking at me. Thinking back on it I dont know how it w
asn't obvious, as she has not stopped meowing since she arrived and I have a kitty accumulation habit that is purely accidental.
I thought it may be the end of it when I went to bed, but when I woke she was still here. And this afternoon when we got home she was still here and hungrier than ever. We fed her and Michael flea-ed her and now she is running around the kitchen and eating out of the bin, because we did not get to it fast enough. (We took the bin away soon after this picture).

There was this long erosion stream, from the recent rains, but also so deeply cut into the earth that lots of places we stood, there was hardly any firm earth to stand on. We had a good mozie around and once at the top of the hill, was able to see our house from an elevated aspect.
It was a pretty nice way to finish off the day.
The new kitty was fed pretty much as soon as I discovered her because she was so bony (even though last week's big stray dog did not get a morsel). She chomped her food down as soon as I put it out and then she spent a further 4 hours meowing at the door and hissing at Kitty, who kept hissing at her.

Tomorrow Michael will take her to the vet to see if she is micro chipped and if she ha
s owners. I think she has been wandering for a few days because she is such a pig. If we keep her I would like to call her Miss Piggy.
